Quotes: How requests and offers work

Customers post a free quote request. Matching vendors send offers — depending on their plan. Here’s exactly how it works, step by step.

What are quotes?

The quote marketplace on WebListing.ch connects customers and vendors:

  • Customer: describes what they need (e.g. painter, cleaning, moving) and posts a quote request.
  • Vendor: sees matching requests and sends a quote (offer) with price and message.
  • Customer: compares offers, then accepts or declines.
  • After acceptance, a booking is created — you can chat via messages and arrange payment.

Important: A quote request (customer) is different from a quote offer (vendor).

For customers: create a quote request

  1. Sign in (customer account) → menu Quote requests / Offerten-Anfragen.
  2. Click Publish a request.
  3. Fill in:
    • Title and category
    • Description (be clear: what, when, where?)
    • Budget (minimum; maximum optional), currency CHF
    • Deadline, location (country, canton, city), postal code
    • optional: photos (up to 5)
  4. Submit request.

Your request is visible to matching vendors. You’ll be notified when offers arrive.

Customer limits

  • Up to 5 open requests at a time
  • Up to 10 requests per calendar month

Posting quote requests is free (no vendor subscription required).

Compare and decide

  1. Open your request under Quote requests.
  2. Review offers (price, message, timeline).
  3. Accept → a booking is created.
  4. Or Decline (optional short comment).

After acceptance you can message the vendor and continue the booking (e.g. payment / mark as paid).

For vendors: send offers

  1. Sign in as vendor → Quote requests (marketplace).
  2. Browse open requests, filter by category if needed.
  3. Open a request → enter price, message, optional estimated days → Send quote.

Who can send offers?

  • Free / Basic: no offers (marketplace not included)
  • Starter: e.g. 20 quotes per month
  • Business: e.g. 100 quotes per month
  • Premium: unlimited

Exact numbers are on Pricing or under Billing & Plan. Without a suitable plan you’ll see an upgrade message.

Tips for good offers

  • Keep pricing realistic and clear
  • Briefly explain what’s included
  • Address the request’s location, deadline and description
