How we collect, use, and protect your data

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

The party responsible for data processing on this website is the operator of Weblisting.ch. If you have any questions about data protection, you can contact us at any time via the support ticket system in your dashboard.

1. Collection and Storage of Personal Data

We collect personal data when you register on Weblisting.ch, book a service, send an inquiry, or create a profile as a Vendor. This includes:

  • For customers: Name, email address, phone number, booking and inquiry history, and – where provided – further profile details (e.g. language, service address) and an optional profile picture.
  • For Vendors: Name, company name, address, email address, phone number, location data, service and product offerings, rates, logo/images, and uploaded verification documents (e.g. license, insurance, ID/tax proof).
  • Communication data: The content of inquiries and messages exchanged via the platform.
  • Payment-related data: Booking and invoicing data as well as wallet transactions. Full card details are not processed by us but directly by our payment service provider (Stripe).
  • Automatically collected data: For technical and security reasons, log data is stored when using the platform, in particular IP address, date/time, device and browser information, an approximate location (derived from the IP address), as well as search queries and activity logs.

2. Purpose of Data Processing

Your data is used for the following purposes:

  • To provide and manage platform functions (marketplace, booking portal, user accounts).
  • To process bookings and payments and to enable communication between customers and Vendors.
  • To send automated system emails (e.g. booking confirmations and appointment reminders around 24 hours before the booked appointment).
  • To handle requests via our internal support ticket system.
  • To ensure security, fraud prevention and stability (e.g. login and activity logs).

3. Data Sharing with Third Parties and Processors

Your data is shared only insofar as this is necessary for the performance of the contract, the operation of the platform, or due to legal obligations. In particular, we use the following services:

  • Between customer and Vendor: The contact data required to carry out the service (name, email, phone) is disclosed to the respective contractual partner.
  • Stripe: Online payments for bookings as well as Vendor subscription payments are processed via the payment service provider Stripe; payment data is transmitted directly to and processed by Stripe.
  • Payouts to Vendors: Payouts to Vendors are initiated manually by the operator via the payout method stored by the Vendor (e.g. bank transfer or mobile money) and are not processed via Stripe.
  • Email delivery: We use an email/SMTP service provider to send system and notification emails.
  • Maps and address search: To display maps and for address/location search, OpenStreetMap and the geocoding service Nominatim are used.
  • Location from IP address: For security and statistical purposes, an external service (ip-api.com) may be used to approximate location based on the IP address.
  • Optional SMS delivery: Where enabled, notifications may be sent by SMS via an SMS service provider.
  • Web analytics: Google Analytics may be used for reach measurement – only after your consent (see section 4).

4. Cookies and Web Analytics

We use technically necessary cookies that are required for the operation of the platform (e.g. login, security, language setting). In addition, analytics cookies (Google Analytics) may be used, but only if you have previously consented to them. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

5. Data Security

We use modern security measures, including SSL/TLS encryption, to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss or misuse. You are obliged to keep your access credentials (passwords) strictly confidential.

6. Account Deletion and Retention Periods

You can request the deletion of your account at any time via the support ticket system in your dashboard. Complete deletion of your profile data takes place within 30 days. Excluded from immediate deletion is data that we are required to retain due to statutory Swiss retention periods (in particular accounting and tax regulations for financial transactions).

7. Your Rights

Under the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG/FADP), you have the right to free information about your stored data, as well as the right to rectification, blocking or deletion of this data. Please use the support ticket system in your dashboard for this purpose.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy in order to adapt it to changed legal conditions or technical developments of our platform.
